Apparently there doesn't seem to be very many. Many known carcinogens are put into our food everyday. One big bad one, IMHO, is Red No. 3 that is found in Maraschino cherries, bubble gum, baked goods, candy, and oral medications. IMHO, the worst is chlorine and flouride in our drinking water. And then there is Sodium Nitrate that is used in meat products and is exempt from regulation. Also, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (trans fats) are not regulated, but the FDA has required that it be listed on food labels.
