The census now includes a specific question about Hispanic origin, allowing individuals to self-identify as Hispanic or Latino. Additionally, the census has expanded its racial and ethnic categories to reflect the diverse backgrounds within the Hispanic community, offering individuals the opportunity to select multiple races or ethnic affiliations.
