First your doctor was wrong, find a new doctor. It takes over one month for the Birth Control pill to start affecting a womans egg. Also, the birth control pill IS NOT 100% protective. Always use a condom even when you are on the pill, and go use the morning after pill when the condom breaks.
He can have testing done by his doctor however, if he is telling you he can't to have unprotected sex do not listen always use a condom minimum! He Acts kinda funny.
I would advise you speak to your Doctor about this. But to be on the safe side, use a condom for 2 weeks and continue taking birth control daily.
The best thing to do would be to use a condom for 4 weeks when you first start birth control and to speak to your Doctor about having a pregnancy blood test performed to deterime if you've conceived.
yes you can get pregnant you doctor should of told you but the first 4 weeks of being on birth control u should use a condom for intercourse
Yes they can sometimes cause this but if you've had unprotected sex - perform a pregnancy test.
Ask your doctor or talk to someone at Planned Parenthood. Both offer a variety of options and can counsel you on the best option for you.
Yes. With most birth control pills or other contraception, you need to use a backup method (such as a condom) for at least the first seven days after starting the contraception. If you think you might be pregnant, please see your doctor immediately.
Having unprotected sex is a major cause of pregnancy. Get an OTC pregnancy test, visit your doctor, or wait a few weeks.
No, unless you have had unprotected sex since then. Please remember to protect yourself. Always wear a condom.
Was Saturday the first time you ever took it? If so, you should have been advised to complete your pack for an entire cycle(1 month) before having unprotected sex. If you missed a pill Friday and you just started taking your birth control, then sorry, but you've just officially screwed up your birth control. If you had been on your birth control for more than a month, then missing your pill on Friday would not be a big deal. Best thing for you to do at this point is to contact your doctor or pharmacist about what you should do. They will probably say that you need to either stop the birth control you are on right now and take a pregnancy test if you miss your cycle or continue taking your birth control and then complete another month of birth control BEFORE you have unprotected sex again. If you're going to have sex, please be responsible about it! If you are over 17, you can go to your pharmacist within 72 hours of unprotected sex and get the morning after pill. However, this will mess up your birth control for a month's cycle. Best thing for you to do is to take your birth control like you should and avoid unprotected sex! If you've got to have sex, use a condom and spermicide.
Once you stop taking birth control, within 7 days of stopping it you will begin to ovulate and put yourself at risk of pregnancy. Before you re-start birth control, perform a pregnancy test. If the test is negative, you can re-start birth control. If the test is positive, see your Doctor for confirmation. When you re-start birth control, you cannot have unprotected sex until you've been on birth control for one whole month. So until this time you need to use a condom for 4 weeks.
JUST DONT HAVE IT!! duhhh Get on birth control, use a condom, don't have sex, have a vasectomy or get your tubes tied. Ask your doctor for the method that is best for you.
