a vascular disorder that affects blood flow to the extremities, fingers, toes, nose and ears
A wallaroo is essentially grey in colour. It has distinctive dark colouring on its extremities, such as forelegs, hind limbs, tail, nose, ears and face.
There are compartments in both the upper and lower extremities.
Warm-blooded animals tend to loose more heat from extremities (a basic physical thing, more surface area for the volume leads to higher heat loss), so it's only logical that in colder climates, smaller extremities where heat loss will be less, will be favoured over extremities with a larger surface area. The opposite is also true. Larger extremities are better for more heat loss. Elephants fan their ears, for instance.
An "extremity" refers to your limbs (arms and legs). Lower extremities are your legs; upper extremities are your arms.
Pneumonia occurs in the lungs. Frostbite occurs in the extremities (fingers, hands, toes, feet, ears, nose, lips.) Pneumonia is causes by bacteria, viruses, chemicals, or bodily fluids getting into the lungs that do not belong there. Frostbite is caused by cold overcoming the body's ability to adequately heat tissues in the extremities.

The "larger" bones in the body are located in the extremities, such as the femur, tibia and fibula in the lower extremities, and the humerus, radius and ulna in the upper extremities.
