It depends on your handlebars and how you reach for them. The general rule of thumb is grip the handlebar as if you were riding. Then extend your fingers. Mount the lever where your fingers are pointing. Hope this helps.
Should be dot 4
it uses the "extra" fluid from the brake reservoir, so just check that you are ok on brake fluid and your clutch should be fine
usually in small resivoir top of handlebars. On the right hand side and the clutch usually takes brake fluid too if they are hydraulic on the left hand side.
Brake fluid should work fine
Yes
You use the clutch to change gears or stop. Not necessary when slowing down.
Yes you can use brake fluid in the hydraaulic clutch system the cover on the reservoir should be marked dot 3 brake fluid also check for leaks at slave cylinder at bellhousing.
The motorcycle handlebars supports some parts of the rider's upper body weight. It also provides a mounting place to control the brake, clutch, horn, throttle, light switch and rear view mirror.
Should be to the left of the clutch pedal.
There is ( or should be ) a switch on your brake pedal lever that tells your brake lights to come on. Could this switch be incorrectly mounted on your clutch pedal instead? Do you have a switch on each pedal? If you do the one on your clutch is so the car won't start unless the clutch is depressed. It might have the wires reversed or the switches might both be mounted on the wrong pedal.
It is the same as the brake reservoir. You should see a line heading from that to the clutch master cylinder. Cheers.
No. There is no reqirement to slow down when you downshift. You must, however, pull in the clutch and let it out gently. If you don't slow up, it may be a bumpy ride depending on what motorcycle you're riding and how fast you're going.
