From what I have heard, the M-Roadster was designed to be used with BMW synthetic oil which is a re-branded bottle of Mobil1. Conventional oil would work, but it may lead to future engine problems. I would recommend 20w-50.
The first year that the BMW M Coup was launched was 1998. The car was originally based off of the BMW M Roadster except it was stiffer than the Roadster so it handled about 2.7 times better.

One can purchase parts for a BMW M Roadster possibly at local breakers yards. Also there are several on-line retailers that sell these parts, such as discount auto parts.

Hi, Underneath the Z4 Roadster, there is a protecting cover. The oil sump plug/bolt is underneath the small cover which is about 8in x 8in wide. which you will need to unscrew with a Phillips screwdriver. The bolt is immediatley in front. 17mm It's very simple and well worth the 30 minutes it takes to complete the oil change. Good luck
No you do not. I have removed and replaced the battery in my M Roadster multiple times. You will however need to input the security code into the audio deck to get the radio to unlock. This code will be printed on a card (business card size) that came with the care.
According to BMW specification, 6.0 seconds. I timed my own 2001 Z3 Roadster with Automatic repeatedly between 5.7 and 5.8 seconds, using a Beltronics Performance Computer Vector FX2. These things don't lie. My Z3 has not been modified in any way.
