No. She took nothing.

She was the victim of a reckless driver (who died in the accident) who almost killed her and left her with devastating injuries.

In order to collect on her OWN insurance policy, she was required under Tennessee law to sue the other driver's insurance company. She asked her attorney to call the parents of the dead driver and tell them the lawsuit was a formality only (which it was) simply so she could collect on her own policy. She never took any money or property from them.

The news media is full of vile, evil creatures who love to attack the good character of individuals for sport, and sadly, most people are stupid enough to believe anything they read in the news or see on TV.
