My guess would be your alternator is going bad. better get it checked out pronto.

Anyplace that sells batteries can tell you the correct size battery to buy.

Ford's fusible links are usually connected to the battery side of the starter solenoid.
The 1983 Ford F 100 manifold bolt torque specifications are 45 pounds. The manifold bolts should be torqued in 15 pound intervals.
You didn't mention what size engine you have but, if you follow the positive battery cable from the battery it will lead you to the starter relay, then to the starter.
