RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is a news feed that gives updated messages. RSS is an acronym for "Really Simple Syndication." RSS is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blogs; it is a method of distributing links. RSS is based on XML, a widely used standard for textual-information exchange between applications on the Internet.RSS is a standard format for syndicating content on the Internet. You can subscribe to the RSS feeds using a RSS feed reader. There are lots of RSS feed readers available. Some of them are free and others come with a subscription. One of the most popular web based RSS reader is Feedly. The free version does a pretty good job and there is a paid version available with extra features which are useful for power users. For a normal internet user I would highly recommend Feedly. RSS feed readers are also available on mobile devices and once again a popular choice is Feedly. There are other popular mobile RSS readers like Taptu. To get a different reading experience you can also try Flipboard which presents RSS feeds in form of a magazine. Though people might differ, I feel that reading RSS feeds is the best way to stay on top of things in your field.
