Having sharp artificial plants and or ornaments are known to cause that.I would use stress coat and watch for disease unless it is a disease that i am unaware of.
Well, if you love your Betta fish, then it should live by itself. But if you add another Betta to your current Betta fish's tank, then they will start a fight because Betta Fish are Siamese fighting fish and if one Betta is in contact of another Betta, the possible reason would be a fight between them two.
I think that they can, actually. I noticed that my fish was laying sideways in the tank, and only one side of her body was flopping around. When she swam it was sort of in circles, but really not at all. A stroke is the only possible reason for this that I could come up with.
yes the are called the siamese fighting fish for a reason
There are half moon betta, delta betta, round tail betta, long tailed betta, crown tailed betta, king betta, and others I don't know of yet.
For the same reason you walk. To move or go to some other place. They gotta get around some how.
A betta is a fish of the species Betta, especially Betta splendens, commonly known as the Siamese fighting fish.
beta fish are very territorial if there is plenty of room for both of them in a tank they will just leave each other alone and another reason is that they haven't had to compete for food
From a female Betta. Then the male Betta fertilizes them when they breed together.
well i did but its in a tank though but they seem to be fine. only thing is the goldfish eats all the food and the betta has a tiny mouth compare to the goldfish so yeah make sure he gets some food
a wild betta
A betta can eat any betta food regardless of the manufacturer; they typically market it as Betta Bites.
Male bettas will fight other males for no reason. you should never put 2 males together.
