Try wiggling the steering wheel while trying to turn Also check if the whole signal/turn switch moves If you turn the wipers on max then wiggle up down and the whole assembly moves the ignition cylinder housing is worn and needs to be replaced. Note that the passlock/security sensor is in the housing and will need to be programmed after replace This is a very common problem especailly if you have lots of things on your key ring The weight wears out the housing
yes it can by removing the switch located on the door trim. however this indicates the cylinder is not in the Locked position. The cylinder must be fully turn counter clock wise. If it cant a new cylinder may be needed
It may be that when you shut down your car earlier you had your steering wheel turned just so. Try inserting your key in the ignition and turn your steering wheel just slightly and see if that will unlock the switch. I had that happen to me and that is all I needed to do. Hope this helped.
