In Texas you can only drive alone with an actual license. If you have a permit you have to have at least an adult with you (18+) if not your legal guardians only. This is regardless of age.

If you are going to work and have your learners permit may you drive alone?

You HAVE to have your license to drive by yourself, it doesn't matter if you're 89, learners permits are for new drivers that allow kids to drive with parents or guardians, family members over 21 (in most states), and anyone over 25 with a written permission slip from your parent or guardian (in most states). So you need to take drivers-ed and get your license, but as for right now, your stuck with mommy. But in some states when you turn 18 you can go get your license instead of being stuck with a permit.

In California what age do you have to be to drive without adult supervision?

You can get a "junior permit" as young as 14 if you can show that you do not have adequate transportation to school, work, and/or other important functions. Restrictions are to be placed on the permit by the Department of Motor Vehicles based on the intended use of the permit. If you only get the permit because you don't have a ride to school, for example, you are only allowed to drive to school when you have the permit. When you are 16.5 years old you can get an actual license. There are some restrictions on this. When you turn 16, you can apply for a learner's permit. With the learner's permit you can only drive with a California-licensed passenger who is at least 25 years old. After 6 months of this and completion of driver training courses and a number of hours of behind-the-wheel training, you are eligible for the real license. For the first year (or until you turn 18, whichever comes first) you have a few restrictions. Unless you have a licensed 25 year-old in the car you can't drive between 11 pm and 5am and can't have passengers under 20 years of age. You can get around these restrictions if you can show that it is necessary to have passengers under 20 or that it is necessary to drive during the restricted time period. To drive alone, it's the 16.5 thing. Learner's permit at 16, license 6 months later. There are still the restrictions mentioned above, but in most cases and at most times you can drive alone.16

Is it legal for a person of 21 years of age with a driver permit to be driving if the license driver is 20 years of age in the State of Ohio?

No. Ohio law requires anyone driving on a learner's permit to have a fully licenced driver age 21 or over in the front seat with them at all times, regardless of the age of the driver with the learner's permit.

When can kids drive?

AnswerKids can drive at the age of 15 but they need to have an adult in the car with them but at the age of 16 they can drive on there own. It really depends on the state in which your child will be getting their learner's permit and graduated license. For example, in Arizona, the earliest age at which a child is eligible for a learner's permit is 15 years and 6 months. During their permit period, they must drive with a licensed driver at least 21 years of age. The permit hold time in Arizona is 6 months for anyone under the age of 18. That means that you cannot turn a learner's permit into a graduate license until you have driven with your learner's permit for a minimum of 6 months.
