Epsom salts cannot induce miscarriage when taken according to the specified dosage. Also, it is always best for a pregnant woman to consult a doctor before using anything they are uncomfortable with.

No. If you look at just about any box of Epsom salts, there are clear directions for dissolving a small amount in water and drinking it to relieve mild constipation. I too was wondering if this was still safe to do during pregnancy--not because I want to miscarry, but because I want to relieve some of the discomfort that comes with being pregnant.

If you try to miscarry on purpose you have to see a doctor and have a safe and legal abortion and not experiment at home. It can kill you.

The idea that Epsom salts induces labor is only a wives' tale. The only known way to induce labor is to go to the hospital and receive an IV of Pitocin.
