It does have a computer, no programming should be necessary.
grand Cherokee abs module replacementit is located on the drivers side inner wheel well (under the hood) and mounted vertically. the black electrical connector has a silver clasp on it. lift the silver clasp and pull the connector off the module. there are 3 bolts that hold the module to rubber bushings on the bracket. relatively easy to do - about 20 minutes if you are not mechanically inclined.

The transmission is controlled by the engine computer. It can be replaced.
Most likely it is in the power distribution box located on the passenger side of the engine compartment just aft of the battery. Open the cover, there is a diagram on the underside of the cover.
The 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee engine control module is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The engine control module will be on the passenger side of the firewall.
it should be on the passenger side kicker panel right above the computer. I just pulled my relay out to replace and everyone says that is for the ecm. electronic control module aka computer, or powertrain control module.
Basically it means it means you have a invalid skim key and you are going to have to replace the i mobilizer module with new keys and reprogram.
