Of course. Even an infant can have a yeast infection. Yeast isn't picky.

For a 14-year old that isn't sexually active there are numerous potential causes. Check out the link, and do your own research on candida and thrush.

The yeast occurs naturally in the vagina, but certain conditions can cause an overgrowth resulting in the annoying, irritating, or painful symptoms of yeast infection. Common contributors are antibiotics, a weakened immune system, and Diabetes. Another item that is easily solved is to wear cotton panties, and increase air circulation by avoiding tight clothing around the crotch.

YES!!! I have a 5 yr old daughter that gets chronic yeast infections, sometimes so bad to the point of the skin tearing and bleeding and not being able to urinate. We have seen doctors about it and while we are trying different treatments, the problem persists. If anyone else out there has any suggestions, I would love to hear them.

Yeast is an equal opportunity infector. Babies who lay in their drool develop "thrush" on their faces. Thrush is a yeast infection. If you become a good habitat, yeast will populate you.
