As you are 16 years old and the court has appointed you to stay with a guardian, then you should not stay with your mother in Colorado. You must remember that the court had a very good reason to appoint a guardian, she the mother was either abusive, alcholic or a drug problem.

In most states, including Colorado, a minor cannot legally choose where to live until they reach the age of majority (usually 18). If there are concerns about guardianship or living arrangements, it is best to seek legal advice or involve child protective services.

In most states in the US, the legal age to leave home without parental consent is 18. If you leave home before that age, your parent or guardian could report you as a runaway.
