I'm 17 years old and I've always heard that you can leave home in Texas at 17. My parents and I have been undergoing some issues the last few years and though I'm only 4 months away from being 18...I can't take it anymore. I've already tried looking into my options of leaving home. I have a job and I intend on finishing my last semester of school. I've read that as long as you are going to school and your parents know where you are that they can not under any circumstances force you to come home. I'm trying to move in with my grandparents, who are willing to take me in. Actually, I was kicked out by my parents and stayed with my grandparents for the weekend, but my parents picked me back up. I didn't want them to, I wanted to stay so this is why I'm looking into my legal options. My dad is a police officer/part-time alcoholic so it only makes this even more stressful! Help me!
