1984 Cutlass Supreme in 1984 was a G-body RWD car right?
The Gen1 to Gen3 Chevy small block including 350 will fit in any of these cars.
Transmission mating:
If original engine is Chevy V8 (usually 305 or 350) or Chevy V6 (229) no changes needed. Otherwise, a different bell housing or flywheel or torque converter may be required.
Mounting:
Go to an auto parts store and ask for motor mounts for your car, specify year make and model. Lie about the engine. Say it's a 305. 350 may not have been available for your car as OE, but 305 is a small block with the same mountings.
Carburetor:
Use an appropriate Quadrajet for your 350 and ECM to match the carb. Otherwise, a different carb can be used, but most won't provide the same combination of driveability/performance for street/strip applications.
Note that a 307 is an Oldslomobile engine and a 231 is a Buick engine both of which may require some minor changes to mountings and transmission mating.
An 86 olsmobile only came as a 307 or the smaller v6. If the car already has a bigger olsmobile engine in it then it should already be the same as a Chevy 350 although the numbers may not match (305 is the same as 307.)
You should have no problem putting in a 350.
yes.
No you can not put any Oldsmobile motor into a 1985 Cutlass Supreme. Each car has a motor that was designed specifically for that vehicle. So if you need to replace the motor in a 1985 Cutlass Supreme, you need to find the specific motor for that vehicle.
apparently the window motor is bad and will need replaced.
307
I am trying to take the motor out of a 95' Olds cutlass supreme. The trans. is giving me problems. How many bolts hold it in.
There are a number of online sites which contain the specifications for the Cutlass Supreme. The online site for Motor Trend, for example, is a great resource for this information.
Depends on the year and bodystyle
My 1986 cutlass supreme w/307 was smoking bad, and I tore the motor down and the rings were shot.
There are many. Depending on the motor. It is a direct fit, regardless of motor, only year, for the Chevy Celebiry, Olds Cutlass Ciera, Buick Century. Other cars, depending on motor.. If 2.8 or 3.1 MPFI 87 and on.. * Buick Regal * Chevy Lumina * Pontiac Grand Prix * Olds Cutlass Supreme * Chevy Corsica * Chevy Beretta * Chevy Cavalier (slight mod required) * Pontiac Sunbird (slight mod required) If a 2.5 * Chevy Lumina * Pontiac Grand Am * Olds Cutlass Calais * Buick Skylark/Somerset There are others, just that s all that comes to mind at the moment.
You could try a 3.1L that is what I have in my 95 Cutlass Supreme SL
Remove the wiring harness from the back of your 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass blower motor. Remove the blower motor retaining bolts. Remove the fan from the front of the blower motor. Reverse the process to install your new blower motor.
Plugged evaporator? Bad fan motor?
