No, it will just mean your pants will fall down. No, really... What belt, and what do you mean by 'bad'?
Yes a timing belt can make it run bad the vale timing gould be off an the cam will be in re tard timing
No it can not. If the belt is missing that could cause it to run hot.
A/C Condenser is on the serpentine route.
The belt could be wearing but not show any problems. When the belt stretches the timing will jump and the engine will run rough. If the belt breaks then the engine wont run at all.
Have your mechanic run the serpentine belt around the compressor. I had a bad compressor last year, and the mechanic just re-routed the belt until I could afford a new compressor-then he installed it and re-routed the belt again so it would run the compressor. Purchase a serpentine belt the same vehicle but without A/C. The shorter belt will drive all the other accessories and is routed the same as the belt used with A/C, except for the compressor.
You have a bad ignition switch
that's sounds more like the serpentine or power steering belt. Your timing belt is internal and you wont hear it but you will know when its broken... your car wont run.
there are no gaskets on a tension pulley ther is however a spring and yes it can cause the belt not to run smoothly
None. It's either broken or not. Jumping teeth is really rare, but would make your engine run poorly. If the belt breaks, the engine will crank (but will sound strange), might backfire, but will not run at all.
There are none. When it breaks the engine will die...it doesn't wear out and make the car run bad if that's what your asking... Change it based on how many miles (60,000 is standard) Dave
You can't, everything has to be in the right place for the car to run.
it might be gauge failure. jeep's were bad about gauge's going bad
