well i did but its in a tank though but they seem to be fine. only thing is the goldfish eats all the food and the betta has a tiny mouth compare to the goldfish so yeah make sure he gets some food
no because the betta will eat the goldfish The previous answer is right but the reason given is wrong. A Betta can not eat a goldfish unless the goldfish is very tiny like less than 1/4 inch long. The real reason is that goldfish need cold water below 65F and plenty of it. (At least 2 gals per 1" of fish). The Betta is a tropical fish needing warm water not below 75F. (A 1 gal tank is usually accepted as sufficient for a Betta)
It should be fine.
Betta fish are best as a solitary fish and are not compatible with goldfish.

No! Well, that depends on what you mean by a fishbowl. If you literally mean a bowl with marbles and water like you would use for a goldfish or a betta, no. If you mean an aquarium with plants and an actual heater and filter, then yes. Hatchet fish make good freshwater aquarium fish.

Betta fish are very aggressive. They pick at their scales and then they're gone!
Guppies and mollies are tropical fish, and they require warm temperatures. The fishbowl will require a heater. Also, these fish are sensitive to drastic changes in the quality of their water, therefore, a filtration and aeration system will be necessary. Perhaps a better fish for a fishbowl would be a Siamese Fighting fish (Betta Splendens). With a little floating plant in the bowl and a cover, Bettas do very well. Change the water at least weekly. Bettas come in a variety of colors. Unfortunately, only one Betta can be placed in the fishbowl because they will fight. Almost all tropical fish retailers carry Bettas, and they can tell you how to feed and care for them. To see what a Betta can look like, click on the RELATED LINKS below.
