Do not, no matter what put a goldfish and a betta together unless you want the goldfish to die!!!

What kind of Fish do not go with goldfish And betta fish?

Coldwater fish go with Goldfish (temperature under 70F). Tropical fish go with Bettas (temperature over 70F). Just make sure that you don't put any more than one Betta in a tank. So Bettas and tropicals don't go with Goldfish and vice versa.

Why is it not recommended to put a goldfish with a betta?

Betas are very aggressive and will attempt to kill the goldfish. Also goldfish are a cold water fish that produce a lot of waste which could be harmful to the Betta.

Can you put a betta fish in the same fish bowl or tank as a goldfish?

No, betta fish are tropical fish; goldfish are coldwater fish, this should be reason enough not to mix the two. The mixing of these fish would be irresponsible and could yield distatorous results. One reason not to mix them would be because betta fish are quite small; most don't even reach 1/3 the size of a goldfish (even when full grown!) it makes them very likely to get bullied by the other fish. Fin nipping can be a major problem and is dangerous for the health of the fish. Do all your fish a favor by not mix betta fish with goldfish.

Can you put a male betta fish in the same fish bowl or tank as a goldfish?

No, for a number of reasons. Firstly, one goldfish needs at least 20 gallons on it's own. In addition, not only are bettas and goldfish not compatible, but their needs are different including foods and water temperature; Bettas are best as a solitary fish.

Could you put goldfish and betta fish together?

Gold fish require water below 70F and Bettas require water above 75F so they should not be kept together.

Can you mix betta fish with goldfish?

A betta prefers warm water, where gold fish like cold water, also male bettas prefer to be by themselves, also a betta prefers a shallow water where gold fish prefer a deep tank, gold fish need a filter and bettas do not.

Can you put a male betta together with your 7 oranda goldfishes?

No you can't. goldfish are coldwater species while bettas are tropical fish.

What kind of fish can a male Betta share a fish tank with?

You could put platies, tetras, corydoras, oto cats, guppies (non-fancy), danios (glofish), shrimp, snails, mollies, swordtails, barbs, rasboras, and African dwarf frogs. I would not recommend putting goldfish with Betta fish. Goldfish are carp, so they get pretty big. They also can give out large amounts of ammonia. Goldfish are also coldwater, and betta fish tropical, so they won't mix well.

What will happen if you put a goldfish with a betta fish?

Nothing spectacular and nothing fast. They will not fight!! If the water is too warm (Bettas are tropical) the goldfish will have its metabolism racing and won't live long. If the water is cold and suits the goldfish then the Betta will slow down and eventually its organs will stop working and it will die.
