Not sure what you mean. Typically you turn and hold the ignition key over to engage the starter to crank the engine over. When the engine starts and runs you let go of the key and the engine continues to run. At which point here does the engine have a problem?

Sounds like a fuel pump or filter problem.

Why will my Lawn mower will not stay cranked?

By "will not stay cranked", I assume the engine runs and shortly dies. The engine is dying due to either fuel starvation or overflooding. Conditions that would cause this are: clogged fuel filter; fouled/bad spark plug; plug gapped wrong; fuel float not operating correctly; carburetor needs to be reset.

Will the check engine light stay on if you cut out the catalytic converter on a 2002 Chevy silverado?

Yes, and it is also illegal to remove the catalytic converter. Your engine will not run properly with the converter removed and will have less power and will use more fuel.

Where would the oxygen sensor be located on a 2000 Mercury Cougar V6?

Actually, I think there is only one. I would stay away from BOSCH O2 Sensors. They always seem to trip an Check Engine Light. I changed mine on my 2002 V6 once. Stayed with Motocraft, no probs. There will be two; one in each of the exhaust manifolds. I forgot to say that on some cars there will be another 02 sensor underneath the car, past the catalytic converter. There are three O2 Sensors on my 1999 Cougar. Two are located just before the Y-Pipe and are both wired to the drivers side of the Y-Pipe. The other is located just after the Catalyic Converter. Easy to change.

Can you bypass a catalytic converter on a Ford Focus?

You can remove it and put a pipe there, or you can remove the exhaust pipe and drive a piece of pipe through it if it's clogged up, but beware of the EPA laws. The check engine light will stay on if you remove the converter and the vehicle will not run correctly. It is illegal to remove a catalytic converter.

Will your car stay running with a bad cadillac con?

Assuming you mean catalytic converter, if the converter is seriously blocked the engine may only idle but will not have the power to move the vehicle. You should have a "check engine" light illuminated also.
