No, they produce a calf. That calf, if born a bull calf, must be castrated by humans (a steer) then trained (by humans) to pull a cart, wagon, etc. An ox is any kind of cattle that has been trained to work.

Sure, and it can happen more often than most think, especially with a highly fertile herd with bull calves and heifer calves reaching puberty earlier than they're meant to be weaned off their mommas. And indeed a mature beef bull can breed his own dam, no matter if it's intentionally by the producer trying to work out a line-breeding or in-breeding program for his/her herd, or not.
