Yes. I am terribly sorry to tell you this, but if the duck's leg bone is showing what so ever... there's not a very good chance the duck will survive But! if you are able to take the duck in to your life you can nurse it back to health!( if the bone is not showing!) Ok... what you need to do is get some kind of stiff stick: Popsicle sticks work great! then you need to wrap it in something so that the wood does not irritate the sensitive skin. you need to take the duck swimming every once and a while for like 30 minutes... this acts sort of like physical therapy to help build those muscles in the leg back up! im only 13 and i have 5 pet ducks. i took them for a swim in my little kitty pool i have for them. some one let my dog out and hes a bull terrior like the TARGET dog... he wasn't trying to hurt the ducks he just wanted to play and he stepped on one of my ducklings feet. you have to keep a very calm mood when you are with them and when they break a leg you have to get them away from the rest of the flock! Be sure to give it alot of attention...
Take him to the VET or Wildlife rehab center. We have one that had a broken leg. the vet set the fracture and he is walking, albeit with a limp.
A galah cannot survive with a broken leg in the wild, if it is left untreated. It can certainly survive if it is a pet, especially if its leg is properly splinted by a vet.
If your duck has a broken leg do not fix it yourself. you need to take you ducklings to an avian doctor. (doctor for ducks). go to http://aav.org/vet-lookup/
As long as they can find food and get away from predators it should survive.
No, I do not have a broken leg, i had a broken arm but not a broken leg
No, but it could still survive with its other 5 legs.
They have them
He could have tripped and twisted his leg, my duck did that and started walking a few days later.
The hypothesis of a broken leg is that you fractured your leg.
Sometimes, but only if there isn't massive bleeding
Broken Leg was created in 2009.
There are just a few basics that animals need to survive. A duck needs access to food, shelter from weather, and access to water. Having access to this, helps a duck survive.
