The finance company will want to be paid in full if they find out it's stolen. The responsibility to satisfy the loan falls on you seeing that you failed to maintain insurance.
Report it to the card company as stolen, as soon as possible ! You are liable for all transactions on your card - unless you report it stolen. Once reported, your liability for any further transactions ceases.
Being able to place a stop payment on a cashier's check depends on the bank. If the cashier's check has been lost or stolen the bank may place a stop payment on it.
Under no circumstances ever should an individual give out their card numbers to a complete stranger, and never give their pin number out. If the card has been lost or stolen report it to the bank as soon as possible to reduce the risk of losing funds.
NO, it wasnt stolen. No, why would they report it stolen? If you default on the loan they will simply have it repossesed in order to sell the car and recoup some (and if they are lucky all) of the funds needed to payoff the debt. Yes they can actually. If you are leasing or financing you signed a contract. Once you default on that contract, the contract can be deemed void and therefore your rights to drive the car can be terminated. If they are unable to reach you and you are "not cooperating" they have the right to report their property as stolen in order to get the vehicle back. For further help, look over that contract you signed. = )
Yes, they can. They can't finance you car if your car is a stolen car. When you put your car from a finance company, make sure that your car isn't stolen and bought it in a big car company.
Only if someone stole it from the owner. Otherwise the car is just repossesed by the finance company.
no
As much as they would like to, NO. It wasnt in their possession to be stolen from. YOU can report it stolen. The Lender has OTHER legal options to get the car, so dont think you will slide forever. LOL NO. Only the registered owner can report the car stolen, or whomever had the vehicle in their posession. If the lender tells you this, they are only bluffing you, using scare tactics. They will say anything to you in the hopes that you do not know the law, or your rights. Most people don't. You can always call an attorney or the police to pose a question about what is legal. YES..In the state of Arizona pursuant to ARS 13-18-13 after 90 days of non payment a lien holder can report a car stolen and is a class 6 felony.
i would report it stolen. if the payments are made the loan company can and probably will come after you for the money. If you report it stolen to the cops you can at least report it to the insurance company and the loan company and that should remove your responsibility.
No, a payment made with a stolen credit card is not considered valid because it involves fraud and illegal activity. It is important to report such incidents to the appropriate authorities and the credit card company to prevent further unauthorized transactions.

First, they'll try to repossess the vehicle. If you tell the repossessors that you don't know where the vehicle is, that could give them grounds to report it stolen, although it's a little more complicated than that, and they'd likely just file a missing property report, The finance company has no interest in jailing you - they want their money, and you obviously aren't going to make any amount of money in jail that'll allow you to pay them back. They might take you to civil court. If anyone's going to try reporting a vehicle as stolen, some repossession agents have been known to do it after they've been told, "well, I don't know where the car is", as a pressure tactic. IMO, a pretty underhanded move, but I won't say I would've been above doing it when I did repossessions (although I never actually did this).
You should report the theft immediately to the police and to the car owner's insurance company.
No! If this is a threat by the finance company contact a attorney. He/She will advise you what you need to do.
It belongs to the insurance company
NOT unless it was stolen. Stolen cars are reported stolen. Cars securing a loan in DEFAULT are reported as DELINQUENT to the credit bureau. If you choose to report the car stolen, go ahead. I would not reccommend it though. Filing a false police report is illegal in most jurisdictions.
