Yes, it can. Flammable or combustible means that it can catch on fire. Anything that can catch on fire is hazardous to one degree or another.

In common usage flammable liquids are the same as combustible liquids in terms of their ability to catch fire. However, in the technical usage of hazardous materials transportation and of fire prevention, a combustible liquid has a higher flash point than a flammable liquid and is therefore less easily ignited. So, yes, flammable liquids ignite more easily than do combustible liquids.

Capable of igniting and burning is a combustible gas. Any compressed gas meeting the requirements for lower flammability limit, flammability limit range, flame projection, etc. All flammable substances are surely combustible, but all combustible substances are not essentially flammable.

Not flammable at room temperature, but combustible.

A combustible liquid is flammable and will burn or explode and a true noncombustible liquid will not ignite. Thats whats up right there

Yes. Gasoline is regulated as a hazardous material (flammable liquid) in transportation. Gasoline is a flammable substance and it can harm your health if you have a substantial enough exposure to it.

Phosphorus is combustible which means that it is flammable.

Both flammable and combustible mean apt to burn.

It is harder to start a combustible liquid buring than to start a flammable liquid burning. In most cases, however, neither type of liquid is "unstable." Both are simply liquids that can burn if ignited. Being "unstable" means that it might detonate or explode.

4.1 - Flammable solid 4.2 - Spontaneously combustible material 4.3 - Hazardous when wet material

Flammable catches on fire. Combustible explodes. Boooyah!

It is highly flammable.

Magnesium is flammable; the combustion produce magnesium oxide.

DOT Classification: Flammable Liquid UN 1223 EPA Classification: not a hazardous waste

Yes if it contains alcohol, a flammable liquid (hazmat class 3).

it is not flamable but im not sure about the corrsive or combustible

Many are. Hydrocarbons as a class.CH4is methane and is combustible.

A toxic chemical is one that can poison you. It os one kind of hazardous chemical. Other kinds include:flammable liquidflammable solidcorrosivecompressed gas / aerosol

Flammable, combustible, corrosive: not determined, but very probable not. Einsteinium is a moderate reactive metal.

Flammable vs. CombustibleThe words flammable and combustible have been around a long time and are constantly being interchanged with each other which is confusing.Combustible means that something will burn.Flammable also means that, BUT... its meaning goes beyond that. Flammable does mean something will burn, but tremendously faster and much more violently. Therefore, spray paint, before it dries is highly flammable. On the other hand, after spray paint has dried and cured, it would only be considered combustible, not flammable.

Magnesium is flammable; after burning magnesium oxide is formed.

If something is combustible, it means it will be flammable. Gold can be melted, but it is not a flammable substance.

Hydrogen is highly combustible.

A hazardous material that is a flammable solid is classified in Division 4.1

Liquid oxygen contains 4,000 times more oxygen by volume than normal air. Materials that are usually considered non-combustible, (such as carbon and stainless steels, cast iron, aluminum, zinc and teflon) may burn in the presence of liquid oxygen. Many organic materials can react explosively, especially if a flammable mixture is produced. Clothing splashed or soaked with liquid oxygen can remain highly flammable for hours. In addition, liquid oxygen is very cold, and the cold alone can be hazardous to people, as well as embrittle materials that are not otherwise brittle so they could break more easily.
