Where in a world did you hear this? Even if you and your husband is separated, your husband can not and is not allowed to do this. By law you are still his wife and carrying his last name, no matter how much he love his mistress, no way that he can do this. Talk to a lawyer and he/she will tell you that as long as the two of you are not divorce yet you have all the rights.
