Yes. Hollow base deer slugs are made slightly undersized, and will safety pass thru most chokes. A few makers of variable chokes specifically warn NOT to use slugs with their chokes installed. It may not be safe to fire a slug thru an Extra Full choke (normally only found on Turkey guns). Modified should be fine.
Yes: A Remington 870 shotgun with a modified choke will shoot any commercial shotgun slug.
Yes, but, DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!
Never fire a shotgun without a choke tube installed. DANGER, DANGER, DANGER
no
As long as the owner's manual doesn't prohibit it.
A rifled slug- yes.
Yes
no slugs should on be shot thru a improved cylinder shotgun. if you shoot thru any other choke it can cause the barrel to split
yes
Slugs will shoot safely through any choke but Improved cylinder or full cylinder should work.
You can shoot a rifled slug out of a smooth bored barrels only. You want to have an improved or modified choke on when shooting a rifled slug. It helps the rotaion and accuracy of the slug. Never use a rifled slug in a rilfed barrel. You could destroy your gun if the rilfing in the gun and slug do not match. This is not a gamlbe I am willing to take with any of my guns.
Depends on what it is choked.
