The PCM (Power Control Module) is located under the passengers side kick panel in a 1995 astro. REPLACEMENT: Novice CAUTIONS: * You MUST disconnect the battery to replace this unit
replace timing chain
The Chevrolet Astro has a chain not a belt.
It should be listed on a sticker near the fan shroud. My 1995 astro is supposed to be set at 0 degrees below top dead center. use a timing light to adjust the distributor accordingly. .
It should be at the bottom front of the engine by the timing cover.
I contacted the Chevy Dealer and he informed me that the Chevy astro van has a timing "chain", not a timing belt and requires no maintanence action for this item.
That would have a timing chain.
i have a 2003 chev astro van and need to replace the blower fan
Jump on them and with the right timing the last one should get to the horse thing at the end.
Requires removal of: Fan shroud, serpentine belt, fan, water pump, timing cover, crank pulley(s). Requires crank pulley puller/installer tools. Requires timing gear puller to remove crank gear. Replace chain and gears together. Replace with all-metal gears, not composite sets. On this vehicle it is recommended to replace the timing cover each time it is removed.
Set it at zero degrees. The computer compensates it.
You dont the seats that an astro comes with are just great

Chevy astro van? on the front ballencer
Your question makes no sense.
I found this very tricky. The best way is to get your timing PERFECT. Watch tutorials on YouTube of Astro Knights.

How do i change the window on a 95 chevy astro van
Nothing, it's discontinued.
read owners manual The owner's manual says to use the sticker on engine's bay, the sticker on my astro 1986 is missing, and I know timing can be adjust because is lacking power and few others............there must be a place where we can get the right timing 12 degrees 20 degrees..................
how to replace a center link on Chevy astro van 1994 suspension
Go to ths site. It says you can not change the timimg on a 97 astro. as of now I am looking to do that to mine since it keeps misfiring. It states that the computer does the timing work. So if the ditributor cap is on wrong that causes it to misfire.http://www.justanswer.com/questions/27r9v-1997-chevy-astro-van-check
