Each state has it's own laws concerning handgun purchases (each country too). The best way to find out what your specific state requires is to look it up in the books, or on the internet, or the old fashioned way, ask a local cop. I think most states at 18 years old you can buy a handgun by yourself.
Actually, asking a local cop is not a good way to find out about handgun laws. Checking with a reputable local gun store is usually the easiest way, but that's beside the point.
Regardless, there is no such thing as a cosigner for a handgun. Most states (but not all) allow people under 21 to own or possess a handgun, and handguns can be given as a gift as long as the receiver qualifies to own the gun under their state laws.
If your state law allows ownership of a handgun under the age of 21, you can purchase a handgun from an individual, or have a parent purchase the handgun from a licensed dealer for you as a gift (to be legal under federal law, it has to be a legitimate gift).
Gun dealers are licensed and regulated under Federal law. Federal law requires you to be 21 to purchase a handgun. In all states.
You need to get a judge to expunge your records.
If Arizona law allows someone under 21 to own a gun, they have to recieve it as a give or purchase it from an individual. Federal law requires a person to be 21 to purchase a handgun from a dealer.
Only if that parent has sole custody of you or if your other parent is dead. Otherwise both have to sign.
Legally, no. You must be 18 to purchase a rifle or shotgun, and 21 to purchase a handgun.
Federal law says you must be 21 to purchase a handgun from a dealer. SOME states may permit a person between 18 and 21 to purchase a handgun from a private seller that is NOT a licensed dealer. This varies from state to state- most do not, but check the law in YOUR state- and check the state law for POSSESSION of a handgun by a person under 21.
No they can not.
Yes. Virginia law does not prohibit a person at least 18 years of age from POSSESSING a handgun. However, FEDERAL law will not permit you to PURCHASE a handgun OR handgun ammunition until you are 21. Virginia law does permit certain person UNDER 18 to possess a handgun in limited circumstances (permission of parents, instructional class, etc)
In most cases, a parent cannot sign a lease on behalf of a 17-year-old. Most states require tenants to be 18 or older to enter into a legally binding contract such as a lease. However, some landlords may make exceptions if the parent is willing to co-sign the lease or provide additional guarantees.
In the United States, a 17 year old needs parental consent, and the parent has to sign a contract for the minor.
Which handgun law? Georgia, as well as every other state, has hundreds of handgun laws.
no way
