Can a person install a rear tail light in a 2003 Toyota Corolla if he is not a mechanic?

Most certainly you could install any light on a car if you read your owers manual. The answer to your question is if you look at th back of the tail light where it is mounted,you should see wing nut that could be removed by hand.Do not over tighten when replacing and check that you are putting the same type of bulb you took out.
