Piston slap and timing chain related noises can be very similar. If it is a piston slap noise the noise may be louder during power braking and may quiet down as the engine warms up.
Complete failure of the tensioner may well throw the valve timing out enough for the pistons struck the valves. I'm not an expert on Audis but I'd certainly seek advice before just putting a new tensioner and belt on.
No. Standard 350 engines have 4.00" pistons, standard 400 pistons are 4.125".
The Pistons originated in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
The GM 2.2L (not ECOTEC) engine for that model year used a timing chain with a teflon tensioner. As far as I know, it had no belt. However, the tensioners are notorious for failure...they break off and get between the chain and the sprocket, which snaps the chain. When this happens, the valves contact the pistons, bending them. If the engine is starting to sound like a diesel, you should consider having the chain and tensioner replaced.
Rotary engines do not have pistons.
Detroit pistons
The Detroit Pistons! The Detroit Pistons!
Detroit Pistons was created in 1941.
No there is only pistons on the computer version
no it will not the pistons are diffrent the 20r has domw pistons and the 22re has flat top pistons
Fort Wayne Pistons
It had a turbine engine, not a motor with pistons.
