"Paying for sins" is not how it works. This outlook leads a person to believe that someone is keeping a big account book and a guide that indicates what are sins and what are good deeds. Reincarnation is part of the long term learning process where we learn to live our lives more skillfully in line with the Eightfold Path. As far as "in another's body" this brings to mind several bad Hollywood movies where a body is taken over by a departed person to right wrongs or save the original owner from making serious errors. Again it doesn't work that way. You core being is re-born again (until you are enlightened, into a body and live that life. No split shifts, no hot bedding, no two for the price of one.

Were do people go when they die?

A persons spirit is what leaves and it either goes to heaven if you dont commit man sins and if god forgives you for those sins as long as you really feel bad about the sins you commited. Or a persons spirit can go to hell if they commit sins and don't go to church to confess them selfs upon a priest(thats when god forgives people for their sins) but if people don't follow the 10 commandments and don't at least pray for god to forgive your sins you go to hell which is a bad thing obviously because your spirit is torchered and god is our creater which gives us eternal life if we go to heaven after some one dies.

What does sin do to ourselves and to the body of Christ?

Sin is a destroyer. If a person sins habitually and is a Christian God will take that person out of the lives of other Christians, sometimes by an early death. Sin will destroy the local church, which is part of the Body of Christ. Many Christ believing Churches have gone under because of sin in the membership. An occasional sin if confessed will be forgiven by God as all persons sin, even Christians, but Christians are strongly encouraged to repent of their occasional sins and confess them to God. If Christians do this the Body of Christ is healed. See I John 1:9.)
