You may need to replace the speedometer fuse. The speedometer cable can cause your speedometer to stop working. The speed sensor can also cause the speedometer to stop working.
Either that, or the speedometer cable went bad.
TCM Malfunction, And/Or Speedometer Sensor Malfunction.
You have a bad Vss Sensor.............. The vehicle speed sensor.
Speed sensor bad.
The transmission computer takes the output speed sensor signal and sends it to the cluster for the speedometer reading. The output speed sensor is a likely cause. The transmission computer takes the output speed sensor signal and sends it to the cluster for the speedometer reading. The output speed sensor is a likely cause.
the speed sensor, trans. sensor , or the speedometer cable
Bad wheel speed sensor or cluster needs replaced
there is probably a sensor on the transmission that is either gone bad or become loose.
The speed sensor needs replaced. It is on the trans.
Trans output speed sensor.
Most likely the VSS. Vehicle Speed Sensor. It is mounted on the side of the transmission.
Check VSS(vehicle speed sensor).Erratic communicating signals back and forth w/ the PCM can cause improper shift points, plus the inoperable speedometer points at that direction.
you need to change the speedometer cause if your odometer is counting then speedometer should be working too. make sure your speed gear its working its in the side of the transmission The odometer and speedometer read off of the same signal. If one works, the signal is ok and the other gauge is bad.
possibly a bad/broken speed sensor located on the transmission
there is a sensor in one of the drive shaft that finds the speed it could either be that or the engine computer is failing
There is no speedometer cable on a 1995 caravan. it is done by a speed sensor on the transmission and digtal data is sent to the computer and the computer then sends the signal to the speedometer. This is the case even when the speedometer looks analog. Likely a bad speedometer is the cause if it does not move as the speed sensor is used for other functions and would trip the "check engine" light if it was bad. the speedometer is part of the instrument cluster and likely you would need to change the whole thing.
The rear axle speed sensor is the usual cause of an inoperative speedometer.
There is a thing called a vehicle speed sensor on the car. If the car won't go over 20 mph then that is what it needs.
There are a few reasons that could cause the speedometer to stop working on your Toyota Camry. If the mileage is still working then the speedometer cable end is damaged. If both the odometer and speedometer do not work then the cable is most likely broken.
There are several things that can cause your speedometer to stop working. The most common cause is a blown fuse. The second most common cause is a malfunctioning speedometer cable.
your car is equipped with a vehicle speed sensor and also check your fuses, sometimes you'll only have one guage not working with a blown fuse, the sensor is located on the tail housing of the transmission, there is no cable i hope this helps you your car is equipped with a vehicle speed sensor and also check your fuses, sometimes you'll only have one guage not working with a blown fuse, the sensor is located on the tail housing of the transmission, there is no cable i hope this helps you
It could be a problem with the speedometer assy, since the two are actually one unit. It could also be a speed sensor which is located in the transmission housing on the the right side output drive axle housing.
Broken speedometer cable?
Faulty vehicle speed sensor.
