No, the wheel speed sensors monitor the wheel speed for the ABS and the TCS. The speed sensor mounted in the transmission monitors the vehicle speed for the speedometer/odometer and transmission controls.
You may need to replace the speedometer fuse. The speedometer cable can cause your speedometer to stop working. The speed sensor can also cause the speedometer to stop working.
Either that, or the speedometer cable went bad.
TCM Malfunction, And/Or Speedometer Sensor Malfunction.
You have a bad Vss Sensor.............. The vehicle speed sensor.
Speed sensor bad.
The transmission computer takes the output speed sensor signal and sends it to the cluster for the speedometer reading. The output speed sensor is a likely cause. The transmission computer takes the output speed sensor signal and sends it to the cluster for the speedometer reading. the speed sensor, trans. sensor , or the speedometer cable
Bad wheel speed sensor or cluster needs replaced
there is probably a sensor on the transmission that is either gone bad or become loose.
The speed sensor needs replaced. It is on the trans.
Trans output speed sensor.
you need to change the speedometer cause if your odometer is counting then speedometer should be working too. make sure your speed gear its working its in the side of the transmission The odometer and speedometer read off of the same signal. If one works, the signal is ok and the other gauge is bad.
