Can a women of 56 years old in good health do the Leslie sansone 5 mile walk?

Yes!! I am 56 years old (just had a birthday) and I have been using Leslie's Intense Walking Programs for up to 60 minutes each time. They include a stretch band, fast walking (intense intervals). In the last couple months, I have dropped 17 pounds and I not only attribute this to Leslie's videos but I have completely changed my eating habits. I now eat 5 to six small meals a day, drink at least 70 ounces of water and have cut out alcohol and sodas. At first it was hard (for about a week), but I avoided putting myself in situations that would trigger a relapse such as going to clubs, restaurants etc. The best part is I just had a complete physical 2 weeks ago and my blood pressure has dropped so low I am now off the meds I was on for 20 years and my cholesterol is in normal range. Do I ever feel hungry now?? No...as long as I start with a good breakfast, a snack a couple hours later, light lunch, snack and moderate meal. I never eat after 7:00 pm. If I do have an urge I slice up an apple or eat some light string cheese. The best part is how wonderful and healthy I feel both physically and mentally and the compliments are endless which helps to keep me motivated. I am 5'1" and started at 152 and am now at 135. I have a very petite frame so my goal is 115 pounds. Never feel you are too old to start. I had a slew of health problems and started slow with Leslie's easier programs and have progressed to the harder ones. She is adorable to watch and really keeps me going. Hope this helps. Lady Lexus
