Best Answer
Yes, it is safe.
Since type O- blood cells contain no antigens, they will safely interact with type A+ blood. This is why Type O- is considered a "universal donor".

What types of blood can a receive?

Type O or type A broadly speaking. it also depends on other proteins found on the surface of donated blood cells such as rhesus proteins. someone can be rhesus plus or rhesus minus meaning they either have the protein or don't. Can a person with A blood type receive blood from O blood type?

Yes, O is suitable for all types of blood groups because it's a a general donnor. Definiely YES , blood type A can receive blood type 'O' because blood type 'O' has no A and B antigen and it will not cause any agglutination ( no clumping of red blood cells) . Whereas if a patient of a blood type 'O' receive a donor of blood type A..it will cause a major hemolytic transfusion reaction which is fatal to the patient with 'O' blood type because an A antigen will agglutinate(clumps) red cells of the "O' blood type patient.

How are antibodies related to the type of blood a person can receive?

o because o has no markers on any of the blood cells.

Each patient required one pint of blood The hospital received one pint each of type A B and O blood Explain whether the hospital had enough of the right type of the blood for each patient?

yes the hospital do have enough Well, type A blood can only receive type A blood and those who have type B blood can only use type B blood, and for type AB, you can get type 0 blood meaning you can receive any type of blood in your body has both A and B antigens on red cells. For type A blood, it has only the A has only the A antigen on red cells and for type B blood, it has only the B antigen on red cells.
