Can an Associates in Arts degree allow you to get a Bachelor's in Science degree for example I want to major in Mass Communications and Journalism and have to work on a 2 year degree which is an AA?

Yes you can do this. You can take an associates degree in communications and later transfer to a four year college or university. The community college is a great place to start (much less expensive also)! Just make sure you speak with a transfer counselor at the community college to ensure you are in a transfer program.
