Yes, an aftermarket stereo radio can replace a Bose radio in a 1997 Nissan Maxima. Remove the old radio from the dash and put in the new one. A new mounting frame might be required to make the new radio fit properly.
All i had to do was by the in dash kit and wiring harness and it should plug right in
Yea why not
The Factory radio for the 1997 Nissan Maxima was a capable stereo for its time . Now they have made aftermarket stereo CD players which has more power and also other features which weren't available in the late 1990's . Here's a site you could check out : How to Install an Aftermarket CD Player Into a 97 Nissan Maxima | eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/how_6508304_install-player-97-nissan-maxima.html#ixzz1JEPigBBN

no you do not. not even if you have the rockford fosgate package. you just wire up the aftermarket harness(95+ nissan) make sure you connect the blue/white wire. that will turn on the factory amp.
Take it to Best Buy
go to walmart and pickup the aftermarket stereo installation kit for your vehicle. instructions included.
Just stick in the wires that go to the ports
Pop you hood. to the left of your battery there is a fuse box. Open the fuse box. On the side closest to the battery, remove the first fuse labeled "20". That is the fuse for the stereo and radio on a 2004 nissan maxima.
I have a 1985 Nissan maxima....fully loaded. automatic, power everything. the stereo is equipped with an automatic volume control sensor that can be disabled (there is a knob or button on the stereo), but it automatically adjusts the volume of the stereo/radio when it detects noise from wind, ground, etc. This is a normal feature of the car. Hope this helps.
Use the clock on the aftermarket stereo that you should buy. My clock on my 92 always gets off so i just use the clock on my stereo.
