Angel fish (Pterophylum scalare) are one of the most tropical fish coming from the Amazon. Goldfish (Carassius auratus) are cold water fish. They both need totally different condtions and water qualities. So the answer is they could live together provided the water is kept warm and pure enough for the Angelfish but they will not do well.
No i wouldn't recommend it.... goldfishes live in cold waters and angel fish live in warm water so that wouldn't really be a good match up

∙ 9y agoThey are totally different species requiring totally different water conditions they should NEVER be in the same tank together. Goldfish are coldwater fish (they come from China). Goldfish water should be kept below 70F and have a medium hardness and a neutral pH of around 7 to 7.2. Angelfish are very tropical fish (they come from the Amazon) their water should be around 80F very soft, and have an acid pH of around 6.5 to 6.8.
Sometimes they do but sometimes they will be aggressive to each other and be slow and clumsy. so be careful if your thinking of putting them in a tank together

∙ 13y agoIt's always been my understanding that you shouldn't pair goldfish with any other type of fish. Apparently, goldfish secrete certain oils that aren't healthy for other fish. You can find several varieties of goldfish, however... there are many with long, beautiful fins that are similar to angelfish.

I have had the occasional 'feeder' goldfish meant for consumption survive and prosper in the tank.
