I'm not sure what the question is asking.

Insurance is purchased or provided by time period, and not directly related to specific days or periods worked.

So long as you are employed by a company, you (and possibly your company) pay the insurance premium to cover you during that period of time. Which days you worked is immaterial.

So, one one hand, the answer is YES - they charge you an insurance premium to cover the missed days work. But the real answer is NO - you get charged/pay that premium the same as any other day, no different, because you are provided the same level of coverage.

In plain English: you pay a fixed amount for coverage each month. The number of days you worked that month doesn't matter.

Can a medical insurance company drop you because of one non payment?

It would depend on the insurance company. Most insurance companies will reinstate your coverage once you are caught up on your premium payments. You would then just have a lapse in coverage for the month you missed.

Is it possible for an auto insurance carrier in New Jersey to reinstate a policy that was canceled due to a missed payment or must they issue a new policy at a new premium?

This may depend on your insurance companies own internal rules and policies. NJ does have some interesting insurance law but I don't know if it gets this detailed as to regulate the reinstatment of a policy that has lapsed for non payment of premium.

What happens when you missed a payment and your insurance lapsed?

It so happens that you have no insurance

Why is your insurance agent sending you a premium notice?

Normally the premium notice comes directly from the insurer. However, if one or more premiums have been missed, and the policy is at risk for lapsing (terminating for nonpayment), the insurer may notify the agent. The agent may therefore notify you of the impending lapse and the need to make premium payments so as to prevent the lapse.

Can an employer force you into their insurance plan because you missed the deadline to opt out?

No, they cannot. They can, however, enroll you and then require you to go through the opt-out process. If you do this within 30 days, you should be able to avoid being covered at all.

Lapse in car insurance?

A lapse in your auto insurance is a time period for which you had or have no coverage. Either your policy expired and was not renewed on schedule meaning you missed your renewal payment or you missed a monthly payment and the policy was cancelled.

Can you get medial as a secondary insurance for pregnancy?

Paying a second major medical insurance premium to fill the gaps in your primary coverage may not make sense. You will probably pay more in premium, than you might expect to receive in benefits. Supplement insurance programs might make more sense, as the premium cost is much lower, and the benefits are paid directly to you rather than the doctors and/or hospital. Short term disability will cover your maternity leave, plus any other missed work due to complications, accidents or injury. Hospital indemnity insurance will cover your maternity labor and delivery, plus pay additional benefits if your child spends time in the NICU. You will need to apply for these programs preconception.

Can you charge for missed appointments?

Yes, according to medicare rules, a doctor. can charge a patient for a missed appointment, but they can't pick who they charge. If they charge for a missed appointment, they must charge all who "no show"Although it isn't a question of legality as there are not laws governing such action. The policy to charge for missed appointments is made by many doctors and health care providers, including dentist, psychologists, even some clinics. It may not seem fair to the individual who is being billed but it is most assuredly not illegal. In the UK:Here in the UK we don't pay for health care as we have the National health Service paid for through taxes and national Insurance, but even here we are starting to have to pay for missed appointments. If you don't turn up the doctor has to wait a while to see if you do which wastes his time, and the appointment could have been used for someone else who needed it.It is calculated that each missed appointment with a family physician costs 30 (about $44 dollars, and each missed hospital appointment costs 50 (about $70).

Can an employer freeze your raise that you were supposed to receive after 1 year of employment Worked there 2 years haven't missed a day of work?

So long as your employer didn't promise a raise in a contract, then your employer is under no obligation to provide you a raise - no matter how stellar of an employee you are.
