On a 74 Corvette, there is a primary coil inside of the distributor that is usually the cause. I would assume that the engine turns over, but no fire. While you have the distributor apart, you might as well replace the secondary coil, located under the distributor plate too, because if this is the problem, you would have to tear the whole thing down again to fix it, and the parts do not cost that much.
It doesn't have a distributor cap.
Does anyone have a diagram for the Vacuum connections for a 1985 5.7 L Tune Port Injection Corvette engine?
Well if you really want to go balls out, bypass the CPU & everything it enteracts with.
hire a EPA certified HVAC technician. federal law requires anyone handling refrigerants to be EPA certified.
check your time and fuel injecters
probably have the wires mixed up that would be the first thing i would check
No,Eminem is alive and never got replaced by anyone.
You'd have to describe the components you replaced. Did you use a plug and go all in one distributor or did you replace the coil, distributor, and add an electronic ignition unit? If you "fried" your ignition, it's likely you fried something else along the line too. Check all your components.
Hmm, I had a similar problem.. Mine turned out to be the egr valve..
Igniter? Please elaborate as I am not familiar with the term ignitor on a gasoline engine, and do not understand what you are referring to. Within the oem distributor, there is an oem electrical ignitor($70). It is a very common issue and problem with 93 honda accords... it can be replaced and the rest of the oem distributor is useable and salvaged, so dont throw it away! or listen to anyone that says the car is not getting spark and that the entire distributor is bad or the coil is bad, only replace with an aftermarket ignitor/distributor as a last option.
Is the rotor bug turning when the distributor cap is off when you turn it over?, if not the gear on the bottom of the distributor could have come off or your timing chain could be broke.
Vette Finders lets you search and find listed Corvettes for sell. Additionally, Craigslist would be useful to see if anyone is selling a 2008 Corvette in the classifieds.
