YES, be careful! I was using Aqua Fresh Extreme Clean and loved it but for the fact that it was so messy. So I started brushing in the shower, which resulted in much longer brushing time. After a few months I noticed my chin had huge white splotches. I went to the doctor because I was afraid it was vitiligo, which it wasn't, but they did not know what it was. A couple of months later it occurred to me that I was using a whitening toothpaste and was not careful about how messing I got with it because I was in the shower. It has been a year since I quit using it and the pigment has NOT come back to my face. I now have to wear makeup to try to hide all the damage.
