In some cases the statute of limitations begins when you remember the abuse. I would try to find a lawyer, but this is pretty hard if you don't have the money. If these people are still foster parents you need to see the Dept. of Human Services or Social Services that is supposed to be supervising them. Personally I believe the most important thing is to make sure the same thing doesn't happen to another child.

Can parents of a 14 year old press charges if they snuck out and you drove them around?

Yes, parents can press charges if their 14-year-old child sneaks out and you aid in their actions by driving them around. The child's actions could be considered a violation of rules or curfew, and your involvement could be seen as facilitating their behavior. It's important to communicate with the child's parents and take responsibility for your actions.

What happens to a 27 year old if he gets a 16 year old pregnant but your parents dont press charges?

It depends on the charges in the jurisdiction in question. In most places the age of consent is 16, so it would not be illegal and no charges could be brought.

Can someone other than her parents press charges if I date a 15 year old and I'm 18?

Dating is not legislated. But the only reason an 18 year old would date someone that is 15 is going to result in illegal activities. The parents aren't the problem. Criminal charges are brought by the government, not the parents. And once the government is aware of it, they will bring up the charges. If there is no sexual intercourse it's not illegal.

Can charges be brought against an adult who marries a teen with parental consent?

well yes and no actually. because during the marriage, the parents have to be there to allow their underage child to get married, and there has to be a written agreement by the parents. if their isn't, then yes, the adult marrying the underage child will have charges against him or her.The marriage actually cannot happen without the parents there, which is most important.

If a 15-year-old girl in Georgia is pregnant and her boyfriend is 18-years-old would he get arrested if her parents did not press charges?

He could be brought on criminal charges. Once someone breaks the law, it isn't necessarily the parents that have to decide whether or not to press charges. The prosecutor makes the decision. And parents cannot 'allow' someone to break the law. He could if the wrong person finds out about it like the police. If the parents of the 15 year old don't press charges then maybe he won't get caught. I don't know what the law is in Georgia but it may be possible for him to marry the girl then it will be legal but she would need the parents consent.

Can the parents of a 17 year old girl bring contributing to the delinquency of a minor charges against a 19 year old man for supplying her with alcohol or drugs or both in New York State?

The parents can file a police report. Individuals don't make the determination on whether or not charges are brought. The state (through police and prosecutors) make those decisions.

No, a relative cannot tell a 17-year-old to leave home without proper authorization. In Pennsylvania, a minor cannot legally leave home without parental consent until they are 18. If the minor leaves without permission, the relative could be held legally responsible. It is recommended to follow legal procedures or seek proper advice before taking any action.

If you are sixteen and have your parents permission to live by yourself what are the guidelines or laws in Texas concerning the responsibility of the parents and or child?

Your parents remain responsible for your welfare until you turn 18. They are responsible for insuring that you obey the law and are housed and clothed properly. If the minor commits a crime, they may be brought up on criminal charges as an adult, depending on what the prosecutor says.
