My cats and dog fart. I've been around horses when they farted. And if you've ever driven across the Pan Handle of Texas anywhere near Abilene, you know that cows pass A LOT of methane! So I would bet that deer probably fart too!

Deer do produce some methane. This comes from the fermentation of food in their digestive systems. Without this process, they would be unable to digest grasses. For various reasons, I believe the role of methane from animals in global warming, however, is greatly exaggerated.
