No that is not true. I've dyed my hair now about 9 times and when I curl mine there wasnt a difference. But dying it does harm your hair. It makes it fall out some, not a lot at once but you do lose some. There's also a good thing about dying hair: if you have lice and you dye your hair the chemicals in the dye kill the lice.
