Usually, yes. Eating disorder implies a more specific problem. Disorded eating is more of a broad and loose term.

interchangeably not really an Eating Disorder is a full blown psychological illness Disordered Eating is often used when its not yet full blown...or when the person is in recovery but still struggling a little. The problem is most people in western society has disordered eating....it can be considered disordered when the person is constantly dieting ("Yo Yo dieting") or just plain isn't eating healthy..which is everyone.....I don't like to use "Disorder Eating" when talking about Eating Disorders....they are different..Disordered Eating isn't severe and doesnt usually require professional help whereas Eating Disorders are serious deadly addictions that require years of professional help...the problem with disordered eating is it can easily become an Eating Disorder
