Make sure connections are on tight.
the valves may be to tight soo lossen them up then adjust them later
Mine comes on periodically too, and then the engine wont start. If you sit tight for about 5 - 10 minutes until the light stops flashing, the engine will start right up.
Car wont run & on interference engines there will be serious internal engine damage.

You may have overheated the engine or seized it.
