This is the question I want answered, they don't tend to because when the tadpoles hatch they will die because they need to live in water but I recently found some frog spawn lying on the grass in my garden, I don't think it was meant to be there though. Hope this help... :)

Frogs are amphibians(creatures that live in both water and on land). Toads are amphibians too, and are in the frog family. However, toads prefer dryer climates and will avoid getting wet if possible. But toads can(and will) swim if they need to do so.

No -- for the beginning of their lives, frogs live underwater. Not until they are adults do they develop lungs and legs, enabling them to live on land, and later deposit eggs in the pond.
