yes most hamsters take to chewing treats straight away some don't but don't be troubled by this. If you don't have no chewing treats you can always use a toilet roll ( not with the tissue on it) ( or a dirty roll)... amber

∙ 11y agoyes, if its a biscuit kind, yes, dog kinds too... think this way, in the wild they forage and eat whatever they find, they don't have the luxury of being too picky, so yes cat dog bird, any kind of natural food is ok, just don't feed sweet stuff, they usually have a different amount of sugar content designed based on the size of the intended animal, so remember your hamster is very very much smaller compared to a cat! (1/4 the size of a sugar cube (the kind u use to make coffee when at banks?) is the size of a good portion, allowing them room for their regular diet, i feed mine no more than 1 cube worth of fresh fruit a day, so at 1/4 the size of a cube, they can have 4 kinds of fresh foods.
