Can hard shifting on a 2000 ford crown Victoria transmission be fixed?

Yes it can. But that means big bucks to repair the trans. Somewhere around $ 1500 to $ 2000. to rebuild it. Depends whats wrong, bands, clutch's, torque converter. Is it only first to 2nd, or is it all the shifts?

Most often hard shifting can be fixed partially by a transmission flush and change of automatic transmission filter. Also, i have had luck with using a large magnet on the bottom of the transmission pan before the flush because parts of the clutches that are loose will not be filtered by a clogged filter. Also, on my grand am, the transmission fluid was dangerously low when i went to change it when first buying the car- this could also be a possible problem.

well depends on how long it didnt have any fluid in it and if you noticed any damage noice or shifting difference. But yes it can really hurt your tranny if its messed up you can just get a rebuild kit for it and its not that expensive to repair or you can get used one.
